This is a great basic recipe to start out with, then make alterations according to taste. I like to add a few chopped chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, plus a diced jalapeño. I've also had success throwing in some black beans and kidney beans.

REAL chili does not have beans in it!

Wha.. No garlic? Recipe is very appetizing, but I gotta have lots of garlic and sometimes bacon broken up in this type of recipe. And yes.. I have used Hunt's.

Like to use fresh ingredients. Including corn peppers and onions. Fire roasted tomatoes are great. Add red onion no cumin no chili powder. Use an instant chil mix. Comes out perfect.

Not bad, a little on the watery side.

Hunts makes a 15oz can of "Seasoned Diced Tomato Sauce for CHILI" but that is not used in their signature chili recipe on the web site? I'll try the web site "Signature" recipe as-is and see how it works out. The 15oz can of "Seasoned Diced Tomato Sauce for CHILI" has a recipe on it also, I have tried it and I would rate that recipe as 3 stars.
